Marvel has partnered with Doritos to make a limited edition Guardians of the Galaxy 2-branded bag of chips, complete with a makeshift tape deck playing the film’s soundtrack. Good news for chip fans and movie fans, as far as we can see, right? But Marvel fans who were eager to snatch up a bag on Amazon today have so far been disappointed.
Doritos never announced a specific time when they would be made available for purchase, but the afternoon has dragged on and on with no sign of the world’s most desirable corn chips, and now fans who have been waiting for hours are getting worried. Also, angry.
They want answers! From Doritos, Amazon, Chris Pratt, Marvel, the #GuardiansoftheGalaxy2 hashtag or anyone who can provide them.

@Doritos I started watching the Amazon page at midnight. Refreshing every few minutes. Now it’s after 12pm and still nothing.

@judywuu @Doritos @Guardians So far, @amazon hasn’t said anything, @amazonhelp doesn’t know anything, @doritos has been dark since yesterday. I think we’re fools.

Some, who are reporters and therefore receive some amount of special attention from brands, have had the chips in their possession for days.

Some, like Frito-Lay, Doritos, Amazon, and Marvel, have not yet posted any updates on the situation. Hang in there if extra special nacho cheese dust was the only thing you dreamed of for yourself on this beautiful Friday afternoon! Simple pleasures are hard to come by, I get it and I’m sorry.
We’ve reached out to Frito-Lay, Amazon, and Marvel, and will update if we hear back.
