Save Money Good Food: The tastiest and CHEAPEST chocolate digestive on the market REVEALED

On this week’s episode, Susanna took to Greenwich market to test out three supermarkets’ chocolate digestive offerings on the public.

The three cheapest chocolate digestives on the market, according to the programme, come from Tesco, Aldi and Asda.

Tesco’s Everyday Value milk chocolate digestive biscuits are 44p per 300g and have 24 per cent chocolate content.

Aldi’s Milk Chocolate Digestives are also 44p per 300g but contain 30 per cent chocolate.

Finally, Asda’s Smart Price Milk Chocolate Digestives are priced at 44p per 300g and contain 23 per cent chocolate.

Members of the public tasted all three chocolate digestives, and while the price of the biscuits was all the same, the taste appeared very different.

The taste testers’ favourite was the Aldi chocolate digestive, followed by Asda, and Tesco’s was in third place.

Susanna said: “Aldi’s contain the same amount of chocolate as the market leader, but are 60 per cent cheaper.”
