Saudi Arabia appoints its first-ever minister of culture

Saudi Arabia established an independent ministry of culture on Saturday. Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan was appointed by royal decree to lead it. The new ministry was formed as an independent body after it was separated from the ministry of culture and information, “giving them more professionalism and specialization,” according to Saudi Press Agency.
