After the huge box office splash made by The Wedding Singer in 1998, a winning romcom duo was established.
Normally this would signal a rush of repeats, with Hollywood always keen to cashing in on a successful formula.
It seems like Drew and Adam have made more since then but, in fact, they have only teamed up twice since. Drew became a romcom queen but with various leading men.
The only partnership that sticks in popular memory, though, is with Adam and the good news is the actress just revealed fans can expect another movie on the way.
Drew was appearing on Watch What Happens Live to promote her latest hit show, The Santa Clarita Diet.
The chat show traditinally has a viewer call-in section and the actress answered a question about returning to work with Adam in among talking about her zombie project and responding to a shock question about plans for a sequel to E.T.
Drew said that there is a clear pattern to her movies with Adam.

Drew said: ” Adam and I have done a movie every 10 years, three decades in a row. You cannot mess with that.”
Actually, there was only a six year gap between the first two. The Wedding Singer (1998) was followed by 50 First Dates (2004) before Blended arrived in 2014.
Hopefully this means the next movie will arrive some time at the start of the 2020s and not in 2024. Both stars currently have projects with Netflix, so hopefully tihs will hurry things along.
Drew seemed to indicate that the pair have already discussed what comes next.
Drew added: “We did The Wedding Singer, Fifty First Dates and Blended, and we will do (another one). We just haven’t figured out what it is yet.”
The E.T. child star is enjoying great success in the Netflix comedy series Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix, while Adam has a looser multi-movie deal with the streaming giant.
His latest film, The Week Of, also stars Chris Rock and will be released on April 27.
Before reuniting with Drew, Adam is rumoured to be returning to another former leading lady next, in an unconfirmed project with Jennifer Aniston.
