Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were back on This Morning today and were joined by Emmerdale star Dean Andrews who is currently playing Will Taylor in the ITV soap. But as Will gets closer to unveiling Harriet Finch (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) and DI Malone’s (Mark Womack) affair, Ruth managed to give away a spoiler and subsequently had to apologise to both the guest and viewers at home.
Eamonn began: “Emmerdale’s Will Taylor has no idea his fiance Harriet, the vicar, is secretly having an affair with his arch-enemy who is a police officer.”
Ruth chipped in and said: “DI Malone, it’s all quite complicated, but after a violent altercation last week, is Will about to find out the truth?”
The host welcomed Dean and said: “The question is Dean, are you going to find out or is Will going to find out that she is having an affair?”
Dean quickly explained: “Well, I didn’t know that she was until you just said it.”

Ruth threw her hand over her mouth and joked: “Oops! Spoiler.”
The actor added: “No, I am now sitting here devastated.
“Well, I am sure like all good stories it will come out in the end.”
“She hasn’t been very kind to him, even though he is a slightly flawed character, he deserves a lot better,” Dean added.
Just before the interview ended, Ruth took a moment to apologise to the star.
The host grovelled: “I am so sorry to have let you know about Harriet, my bad.”
Dean laughed it off and said: “I am devastated.”
Emmerdale fans recently saw Will reach his limit and bashed Malone over the head with a wrench.
