Was Chic Cooper really the Gargoyle King in Riverdale?
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Riverdale.
In the very last episode of season three, Chic Cooper was unveiled to be the Gargoyle King.
Thanks to Penelope Blossom (Nathalie Boltt), Chic ended the series behind bars.
However, eagle-eyed fans are pretty sure the matter of the Gargoyle King’s identity is anything but solved.
Several theories have emerged surrounding Chic being used as a scapegoat for the real Gargoyle King.
The main problem for fans stems from the height of Chic compared to the enigmatic character.
Chic doesn’t appear to be anywhere near as tall as the mysterious figure spotted by several characters.
Of course, it could just be a filming inconsistency but it seems like it would too big a factor to miss.
Theories and potential theories don’t stop there for the Gargoyle King either.
Again stemming from the mystery of the two characters’ heights, some think Chic could be working with others.
Could it be that there s more than one Gargoyle King reigning down terror?
Fingers crossed a definitive answer is revealed in the upcoming series.
In the meantime, several fans have voiced their doubts about Chic being the Gargoyle King.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “I’m gonna take a hard stance here. Chic is not the Gargoyle King.”
A second agreed: “I would buy Chic being the GK (Gargoyle King) if we didn’t already know it was Tall Boy who broke into the Coopers.”
While a third said: “Also the Gargoyle King is creepy but not as creepy as Chic was #Riverdale.”
Fans will just have to wait until later this month to find out the truth.
