Online travel company eDreams.co.uk found that one in 10 Brits have admitted to having a fling with a fellow passenger they met while in the air.
The survey asked 11,000 fliers around Europe to find the staggering statistics.
The figure rises to almost a quarter (24 per cent) of Londoners admitting the same.
Unfortunately, the same figures suggested that 15 per cent of fliers engaged in the flirtatious behaviour despite having a partner at home.
It certainly brings a new level to holiday romances before even landing.
Yet it isn’t all bad news for travellers who are romantic in the air.
10 per cent ended up finding a partner when travelling, therefore showing that a holiday romance isn’t always over before landing back home.
And with 4 per cent admitting to booking a holiday to find love, it’s a happy end to a holiday.
