Ratings: Designated Survivor Eyes Uptick, While ABC Sitcoms Go Low

Designated Survivor‘s reveal of “the White House traitor” on Wednesday night drew 5.1 million total viewers and a 1.1 rating, marking its second straight uptick in the demo (if the numbers hold in finals).

On ABC’s sitcom front, The Goldbergs (5.2 mil/1.4) and Speechless (4.5 mil/1.2) each slipped two tenths in the demo to series lows, while both episodes of black-ish (4.4 mil/1.2, 4.2 mil/1.2) matched series lows in the demo.

Over on The CW, Arrow (1.5 mil/0.5) and The 100 (920K/0.3) returned steady in the demo while dipping to their second-smallest audiences ever.

Elsewhere….

CBS |Survivor (8.4 mil/1.7) matched its season high in audience while steady in the demo. Criminal Minds (6.8 mil/1.2) dipped to tie its demo low, while Beyond Borders (4.6 mil/0.8) was steady.

FOX |Shots Fired (3.3 mil/0.8) was steady, while Empire (6.2 mil/2.1) dipped to new series lows (yet still easily led the night in the demo).

NBC | Bubble drama Blindspot (4.5 mil/0.9) held steady, while SVU (5.3 mil/1.1) and Chicago PD (6.2 mil/1.2) each dipped a tenth to tie their demo lows.
