Ranvir Singh red-faced as GMB co-stars expose embarrassing Strictly Come Dancing blunder

Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir found out Giovanni Pernice would be her professional dance partner on Strictly Come Dancing during the launch show, which aired on Saturday evening. The journalist was shown out for a walk with her dog Schmizzles when Giovanni popped up and revealed they’d be dancing together. As they began chatting about her Strictly journey though, Schmizzles was caught up in his lead, and Ranvir’s co-stars couldn’t help but highlight the moment.

Kate and Sean struggled to hide their laughter as Ranvir was shown walking alongside Giovanni while Schmizzles became entangled in his lead.

“That poor dog!” Sean remarked. “I mean that poor dog just got dragged along.”

Kate chipped in: “You’ve got to see it. We’ve got to see it again.”

“I tell you what, we were there for five hours filming,” Ranvir disclosed as a clip of her meeting professional dancer Giovanni was shown.

Earlier in the show, Ranvir hit out at Kate as she claimed she hadn’t been warned how difficult dancing was.

“Can I just say Kate, you never told me how actually painful and hard it is to do the dancing,” Ranvir remarked.

Kate replied: “I think I might have done Ranvir. I might have said you’d have bruises in places you won’t expect.

“You were just so full of glitz and sequins.”

Following the launch night of Strictly, which saw the celebrities take on a group dance for the first time, Ranvir’s odds of winning are currently priced at 33/1 with Ladbrokes.

According to the bookmakers, only former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is less likely to win with odds of 66/1.

Maisie Smith is currently still the favourite to win with odds of 7/4 while popstar HRVY is close behind with odds of 5/1.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
