Radiant Historia Remake Gets Its First Trailer And A Japanese Release Date

Here’s our first look at Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology in action, complete with refreshed character art, anime cinematic, and a slew of ultra-vibrant looking little sprites.

Revealed late last week in the pages of Famitsu, some further details on the 3DS remake poured out of this morning’s Atlus live stream in Japan. In addition to refreshed visuals and updated game systems, Perfect Chronology will also include a new character called Nemesia, a third game mode called “Sub-History,” and the ability to change difficulty settings on the fly.

Released for the DS just a few weeks before the 3DS was released in North America, Radiant Historia was easy to overlook the first time around. Of course, with the 3DS now somewhat superseded by the Nintendo Switch, the same thing could happen again. Like a lot of games coming out in the latter half of the 3DS’s lifespan, it’s unclear whether Perfect Chronology will make use of the handheld’s 3D visual effect slider or not.

While there’s still no word on a Western release date, the Radiant Historia remake is slated to hit Japan on on June 29, 2017.
