Queen Rania of Jordan looks red hot in waterfall drape coat for parade at Sandhurst

The 46-year-old royal attended the event with her husband King Abdullah II of Jordan which marked the completion of a year’s intensive training for 196 officer cadets from the UK and 33 from 14 overseas countries.

The King inspected the officer cadets who were officially commissioned as officers in the British Army at midnight, including his own son, Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan.

After graduating from Georgetown University in the US last year, with a degree in international history, the 22-year-old followed in his father’s footsteps and enrolled at Sandhurst.

Queen Rania wore a waterfall drape coat in the cool UK summer weather, in military red, and stiletto heels in the same colour.

Underneath she was wearing a white dress which was a little longer in length than her coat so stuck out at the bottom.

The royal then accessorised with a small black quilted handbag, a pair of silver pendant earrings and a silver necklace.

Prince Hussein holds the rank of first lieutenant in the Jordanian Armed Forces.

In March this year, Queen Rania posted a photo of the family, with Prince Hussein in his uniform, with the caption: “Beaming and proud as any parent would be.”

Since marrying King Abdullah II, Queen Rania has become known for her advocacy work related to education, health, community empowerment, youth, cross-cultural dialogue and micro-finance.

She has two daughters and two sons and has been awarded various decorations by governments.
