Queen Elizabeth, 91, has recently joined forces with David Attenborough as part of a Commonwealth environmental project, the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy.
As Head of the Commonwealth, they discussed forest conversation initiatives to be spread across all 53 Commonwealth countries.
The Queen travels to many of the countries as part of her role to promote good relationships.
With close relations with Canada, she has visited this country the most throughout her 66-year reign.
But which countries has she not yet visited in the Commonwealth?
The Queen has yet to visit Cameroon and Rwanda as part of the Commonwealth.
This is not for any political or social reason – they are the two most recent members.
Cameroon joined the Commonwealth in 1995 and has competed in every Commonwealth Games since.
Rwanda joined much more recently in 2009 and became the 54th member before the Maldives left in 2016, taking the total to 53.
Gambia rejoined in February 2018 after pulling out in 2013.
A number of countries have expressed internet in joining the Commonwealth include Somaliland, South Sudan, and Suriname.
The Queen last visited a Commonwealth country in 2015 on a trip to Malta, a country she has proclaimed to love having spent her first few years of marriage there.
However, she has reduced the number of visits she makes abroad and instead her grandson Prince William often travels instead.
Queen Elizabeth has not travelled to a number of other countries during her reign, such as Greece.
Her husband, Prince Philip was born there but was forced to leave after his father was put on trial.
They then fled the country when he was a child in 1922 after their lives were deemed at risk.
Whilst Prince Philip reportedly visited his mother in Athens before she moved to the UK in the 1960’s, this was never with the Queen.
Her Royal Majesty has visited before in 1950 after being invited by King Paul – Prince Philip’s cousin.
Yet this was before she became Queen and was a personal visit.
Queen Elizabeth also has yet to visit Israel since becoming Queen as well.
This is due to political and security reasons instead.
