Qatar Airways becomes world’s FIRST airline to roll out DOUBLE beds in business class

The Qatari airline is a global pioneer when it comes to luxury sky-high – and it has a brand new aircraft section to prove it.

Qatar Airways has just launched QSuite, new business class seating which provides passengers with all the comforts of a good night’s sleep on the ground.

The suite features a fully reclinable double bed enclosed with partition panels which ensure guests unrivalled privacy.

Qatar’s Boeing 777 is the first to fly the luxurious new business class feature, on a daily service from London Heathrow.

It’s not the only revolutionary feature at the pointy end of the plane.

Passengers seated in the middle section of business class have the option to open their spaces into a four-person area.

Two seats aside face those in front, so families or friends travelling in groups of four can socialise throughout the flight.

Jonathan Harding, Qatar’s senior vice president for Europe, told the Press Association: “It’s a revolutionary, brand new, game-changing product which we are going to roll out across our business class fleet, raising the business class experience to a new level.

“We have the first double bed in the sky so people travelling together are able to avail themselves of that.

“If you’re travelling by yourself you get privacy, particularly in one of our window seats, but our quads can be configured in a way that is very flexible and comfortable.”

Qsuite has been praised as “the best business class in the skies today” by aviation experts.

Industry analyst Alex Machera said: “I’d fly Qsuite over heaps of other first class products in the industry.”

First class seats can often be a pricey option when it comes to travelling, be it by train or by plane.

However, a new method of booking promises travellers the luxury from as little as £5.

Revolutionary new app Seatfrog allows customers to bid on any first class seats that are available.

It has recently been revealed that 37 million premium class seats are left empty every year, despite over 90 per cent of passengers never experiencing a first class seat.

The reserve price start as low as £5 and the app also allows users to enter a maximum bid limit.
