Prince William brazenly address Brexit in ITV Duchy of Cornwall documentary ‘No one knows’

ITV aired the second instalment of Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall this evening on ITV, which saw the preparations undertaken by Prince William for when he succeeds his father. Viewers caught a glimpse of behind-the-scenes footage of meetings both Charles and William had with senior staff members and tenants of the Duchy.

In one scene, William met with Marvin Keeling, a Duchy tenant who has run the farm for 32 years and the topic of Brexit came up.

Discussing the importance of family, William said: “It’s really nice to see the family side of what you’ve done here.”

“It was your grandfather first, then you, then your son and hopefully your grandson as well,” the Prince remarked.

“Yes that is what we’d love,” Marvin agreed.

“But even they couldn’t answer the questions for us.”

“Because no one knows yet,” Prince William stated.

Marvin agreed: “Nobody knows but it was nice because I spoke to him afterwards and your dad says he knows, he was interested, “He wants to make sure it’s right for us,” Marvin added,

“Do you feel my father’s a voice for the farming community?” the Prince asked.

Marvin answered: “He’s definitely a voice for us and he’s a powerful voice and he’s done a very good job.”

William continued: “Well I think it’s really important, the family angle, I really do.

“I’ve started to think about how I will inherit the Duchy one day and what I would do.”

“And you’ve got children yourself now,” Marvin remarked. “It’s what it’s all about.”

The documentary focused on the role Prince William will inherit and viewers were quick to praise Prince Charles for his dedication to the Duchy of Cornwall.

One said: “Watching Prince Charles: The Duchy of Cornwall now. This is the Prince that we don’t see often. I admire his work on the Duchy and how he interacts with everyone working at the Duchy. I hope that Prince William is able to continue his work and even more.”

Another said: “Wouldn’t go far wrong if Prince Charles was in charge of British farming affairs. Seems to have a genuine passion for farming and rural community #InsidetheDuchy.”

“Have so enjoyed this behind the scenes peek at the Duchy of Cornwall and more importantly the work of Prince Charles @ClarenceHouse #InsidetheDuchy,” a third added.
