Prince Harry, 32, and Meghan Markle, 36, have visited Africa as part of the Suit star’s birthday celebrations, and rumours of a possible engagement have escalated.
The couple have been in Botswana where, among other places, they are reported to have visited the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Both Harry and Meghan are involved in various charities operating in Africa, but the continent also holds a special place in Harry’s heart for another reason.
As well as being the place where Prince William proposed to the Duchess, Kate Middleton, its the destination the brothers and their father, Prince Charles, flew too after their mother, Princess Diana, died.
The prince’s attachment to Africa has kickstarted a wave of speculation over an engagement.
He has called it the place “where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world” and where he has an “intense sense of complete relaxation and normality”.
According to Vogue, William Hill “is no longer offering odds on whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will get engaged”.
Instead, bets on what year the royal wedding will take place are being called.
