Prince Charles, 69, is the heir to the throne and will take over when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, 91, dies.
As part of his royal position, he often travels the UK and abroad on state visits to encourage good relations and meet members of the public.
However, a new tell-all book by investigative author Tom Bower has revealed how the royal has a number of bizarre travel habits when traversing the UK.
Some of them are baffling, to say the least.
He once took his entire bedroom including the furniture on a trip to the North-East of England reports the Daily Mail.
It states: “The truck contained nothing less than Charles and Camilla’s complete bedrooms, including the Prince’s orthopaedic bed, along with his own linen.”
As weird as it is, it isn’t the only item he reportedly has with him.
His entourage also packs his own lavatory seat, as well as special toilet paper rolls which are Kleenex Premium Comfort lavatory paper.
Other times include a radio, whisky, bottled water and “two landscapes of the Scottish Highlands”.
He travels with a number of people, as do the rest of the royal family, which includes a butler, two valets, a chef, a private secretary and a typist.
Yet Prince Charle’s strict demands are world’s away from his frugal mother, Queen Elizabeth.
She is often seen travelling by commuter train, especially when travelling to Norfolk, whilst Prince Charles chooses the Royal Train.
A single trip can cost as much £15,000, and last year he spent over £46,000 on a two-day trip.
Queen Elizabeth has her own travel items that she always takes abroad on state visits.
These include a hot water bottle, her favourite tea and cake as well as family photos.
New-to-the-family Meghan Markle has revealed some of her best travel advice as well.
