Flights welcome all sorts of people on board a plane and passengers often spot their fellow fliers doing intriguing things. Travellers on one plane couldn’t believe it when they spotted a man employing a clever travel hack. A hilarious photo of the incident was shared by Instagram account passengershaming. It shows a man apparently using the overhead light of his seat in an intriguing way.
The photo captured him attempting to heat up a slice of pizza using the reading light.
He can be seen reaching up towards the roof of the cabin with the pizza in his hand.
The savvy passenger holds it close to the bright light in the hopes of warming up his meal.
Other passengers can be seen in front of the traveller but don’t seem to have spotted his travel hack.
In reality, it’s unlikely the cooking attempt worked, but Instagram users were nevertheless impressed.
Instagram account passengershaming captioned the funny photo: “Heating up leftover pizza with an airplane reading light? Genius!!” They even included the entertaining hashtag “#pleasebesingleandDMme.”
“The guy is a genius,” one person agreed. Another added: “So that’s how you get decent airplane food! #lifehacks.”
Others Instagram users were less impressed, however, and pointed out that the act was rather unpleasant.
“Ugh! The germs. The grease. The smell. Ugh,” one wrote. Another posted: “Gross! Cold pizza is way better than lukewarm!”
This is far from the first time someone has spotted trying to use the plane amenities in an unusual way.

The woman was drying a pair of pants under the air vent on the aircraft ceiling. She was holding up the black and white underwear right next to the channel of air.
On another occasion, a photo shared by passengershaming showed a woman trying to stave off the cold by wearing a transparent plastic bag over her head.
This action is highly dangerous, making it alarming she has chosen such a rash way of keeping warm.
Suffocation can happen when a plastic bag is out over the head because the plastic is flexible enough to form an airtight seal around the nose and mouth.
