Chuka Umunna, Iain Duncan Smith and Vince Cable all appeared on the ITV show to discuss the fatal explosion as election campaigning is suspended.
Clearly sickened by the devastating attack, Piers Morgan questioned all three about the need for action.
The 52-year-old said: “At some stage you can’t just keep having the same response. This is about as heinous as it gets, going to a pop concert and targeting young girls who went to see Ariana Grande and blowing them to pieces.
“People are going to say, ‘I don’t want any more tributes or any more vigils, I want action and there doesn’t seem to be a concerted effort to stop this’.
“There comes a moment when we need to say, ‘Forget the PC stuff, we need to stop this before it happens’,” Piers continued.
All three parties came together to condemn the attack and added that the security services are doing all they can.
Duncan Smith insisted: “I’ve sat in the Cobra meetings and I have talked to those that head up MI5 and MI6 and they will tell you that they are foiling attacks like this on a daily basis.
“Please don’t assume that this has got through because we’re slack. We are in debt to our security services and our police forces,” the Conservative MP reassured.
Labour’s Umunna added: “What sick individual would do something like this to children? One of the things we are blessed with is our police and health services.
Charlotte has been unable to get in touch with her child Olivia and was last in contact with her at 8.30pm last night.
Speaking on the phone, the emotional mother said: “I’ve called all the places. I’ve called the police. They said there’s no news and I’ve just go to wait. I’m waiting at home in case she turns up here.
“She was there with her best friend from school, he’s been found he’s in hospital. I’m not sure what condition he’s in.
Breaking down, she added: “If anybody sees Olivia, lend her a phone she knows my number.”
