Piers Morgan hit with 2,000 Ofcom complaints after Helen Whatley GMB clashes

Whately dismissed the figure as one she “didn’t recognise” and said the “figures can be inaccurate”. 

“Do you know how many people have died in the health care system, both in hospitals and in care homes? The workers?” Morgan began. 

Whately answered: “We know 61 NHS workers have very sadly died and we have a figure at the moment of 15 care home workers who have died.”

Unconvinced by the figure, Morgan stated: “Your numbers again are completely wrong.

“I’m going to show you on our screen here that the real figure of all the people who work in the NHS and all the people who work in care homes who have died is actually 111.
