The fiery Good Morning Britain host is currently enjoying his well-earned annual leave, but viewers accused Piers Morgan, 52, of becoming a “part timer”.
Instead, Susanna Reid, 46, was joined by Richard Madeley again this morning.
Last night, she broke the news to her 456,000 followers on Twitter: “Half-term over. Clocks gone back. I’m reunited with TV legend @richardm56 on @gmb 6am tomorrow. Coffee o’clock.”
While Piers soaks up the Californian sunshine, his legion of supporters were left beckoning for his return.
“@gmb Where’s Piers?” asked one viewer, which was followed by: “Had a smile this morning looking forward to you & Piers back side by side…but no…”
A third cried: “Where’s Piers Morgan it’s not the same without him please bring him back.”
“Where’s Piers? Having to watch BBC? Dull start to dull days,” one more wrote, before another added: “”@piersmorgan is officially a part timer on #GMB what can be more important than Monday morning on #GMB.”
However, many audience member were loving his replacement Richard, 61, this morning, with one posting: “@GMB Good to see you Richard.”
“Nice to wake up to GMB without any back biting. Richard’s broadcasting experience is so obvious! Class Act,” enthused a second.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
