Phillip Schofield SPEECHLESS as Gino D’Campo launches foul-mouthed attack at Mary Berry

The loose-lipped Italian chef texted into the show to slam Mary’s controversial Bolognese recipe, which has been the biggest cooking controversy since the national treasure quit The Great British Bake Off last year.

The 81-year-old’s take on the classic dish included pouring in a chug of white wine and adding a dash of double cream, which left both Phillip Schofield, 54, and Holly Willoughby, 36, utterly perplexed.

Viewers were particularly disgruntled with Mary’s eclectic salad ingredients, which consisted of red and white quinoa, bulgar wheat and pomegranate molasses.

However, Gino didn’t hold back as he slammed Mary and her Bolognese, which Phillip had to refrain from reading out loud before the watershed.

“I texted Gino,” said Phillip. “He’s now replied, and it says, ‘Everyone can do what they want with the recipes, but don’t call them the original name. A Bolognese sauce shouldn’t have cream and if you want to put it in then call it a meat sauce with cream. Anyone who calls a meat Bolognese sauce with cream a Bolognese…’”

Phillip immediately moved on to warn viewers: “And then I can’t read anymore! I cannot, I cannot read that.”

Gino’s outburst comes after he left Holly in stitches this week with another filthy remark.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! champion told the mother-of-three that he was making an alternative to Toad in the Hole; a Sausage in a Hole.

It doesn’t take much to leave Holly in hysterics, and Gino’s take on the British favourite was no exception as she couldn’t breathe in laughter.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
