The ITV hosts’ hostility was reported to have emerged after Phillip feared Holly’s growing popularity would lead her to eclipse him, The Sun reported last year.
Despite their playful banter onscreen and chemistry, it was claimed that they bickered a number of times on and off set.
During one of those on-air clashes Phillip was introducing a new segment of their show – only for Holly to speak over the top of him.
After she introduced audiences to the midweek edition of ‘This Morning’, Phillip continued: “It’s a very exciting show today.
Phillip stared intensely at Holly in disbelief with his mouth slightly agape as she continued talk – without lettting him finish his sentence.
With a hurt look on his face, he snapped at her: “Am I boring you?”
Holly tried to laugh off the remark as the pair continued to broadcast on the show.
The ITV stars are currently on hiatus for summer – their presenting roles have temporarily been taken over by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
