Hot Hatchbacks have been a staple part of British roads since the 60s. Over the years we’ve seen some absolutely cracking hot hatches be made through the decades from the late 60’s all the way to present day. Some of these feisty superminis became legendary for their performance or their looks and in this infographic we take a look some of those and ask the question ‘how many are left on the roads?’
We’ve listed 10 of these beasts and conducted research to find how many units were sold and of course how many are left and are roadworthy. Included is also some fun trivia surrounding the year that particular car was released.
The vehicles covered in the infographic are:
Reliant Scimitar GTE
Lancia Delta HF Integrale
Renault 5 Turbo
MG Metro
Peugeot 205 GTi
Ford Fiesta XR2 MKII
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
Renault Clio Williams
Citroen Saxo VTS
Renault Clio V6 Renaultsport
