Nokia will hold its annual Mobile World Congress keynote tomorrow at 5pm CET.
HMD Global, which acquired the Nokia brand from Microsoft, launched the retro Nokia 3310 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) last year.
The phone boasts the same alpha-numerical keypad, but shipped with a colour display – unlike the original.
The Nokia 3310, which first went on-sale in September 2000, achieved its iconic status thanks to its impressive battery life and durable hardware.
It went on to become one of the biggest-selling devices of all time.
The reimagining of the iconic mobile phone even shipped with Snake preinstalled to help pass the time during a commute.
The 2017 Nokia 3310 also shipped with an incredible 22-hour talk-time and month long stand-by battery life.
HMD Global recently brought faster 4G data connection speeds to the handset, however, this has only launched in China.
It’s possible the 4G variant of the new mobile could make its European debut during the MWC keynote tomorrow.
Elsewhere, HMD Global is tipped to be hard at work on an all-new Nokia 9.
The smartphone will purportedly sport a dual rear-camera system, as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The latest whispers suggest the dual camera system will be comprised of a 13MP main shooter and 12MP secondary lens.
Nokia 9 is tipped to have a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display.
