Nintendo Switch stock UPDATE: Amazon, Tesco, Smyths and Gamestop restock availability NOW

Nintendo Switch stock is set to land at both Amazon and Tesco this week, a big boost for those in the UK.

The official Nintendo Switch Amazon section confirms that both in North America and the UK, a restock is on the card.

The Neon Red and Blue Nintendo Switch will be back in Stock at Amazon.co.uk, on April 14.

The Nintendo Switch Amazon store has also recently been accepting Pre Orders, with a shipment date of April 3 listed.

Fans in the UK will also have more options later this week, with Tesco getting a fresh batch of consoles on April 7, which can also be pre ordered now.

However, as of time of writing, The Smyths website is currently listed as having existing online stock to purchase right now.

It’s unclear just how long this status will last, so it might be wise to head over and check it out now.

Walmart was one of the last places online that had new Nintendo Switch stock in the United States, however, fans have been told there may be a better option.

Gamestop have advised fans to keep calling their local stores for updates on shipments dates, with store also offering $ 200 credit options when trading in either a new Nintendo 3DS, PS4 or Xbox One.

Several key employees from the company have also come out to say that Nintendo Switch stock shortages could remain for much of 2017.

GameStop chief executive Paul Raines reportedly told investors: “We’re very cautious simply because of limited allocation. We don’t really have an aggressive forecast built-in for the Switch. We’ve learned with Nintendo not to do that.”

While chief operating officer Tony Bartel added: “The demand is incredibly strong. As soon as we get it into stores, it’s out within hours. We anticipate that we’ll be chasing supply this entire year.”

Other retailers like Best Buy and Toys R Us recently received new stock at brick-and-mortar stores.

According to the latest Nintendo Switch sales figures from Japan, the new console sold around 80,000 units in the past week.

That’s a massive 56% increase on the week before. With stock proving hard to come by throughout the world, it’s an impressive number, and potentially could have been even higher if more units were available.

It’s also had a knock-on effect on Nintendo Switch software sales, with Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 1-2 Switch and Super Bomberman R all selling more units and climbing up the Japanese charts.

As previously reported, the Nintendo Switch has now sold more than 500,000 units in Japan and is believed to have sold more than 2 million units globally.
