For two seasons of Money Heist, Lisbon, first known as Raquel Murillo (played by Itziar Ituño), was working against The Professor (Álvaro Morte) as she tried to apprehend the robbers. However, after falling for The Professor during her working as an Inspector, she decided to leave Spain and move to Thailand with her mother and daughter to live with him. Things were going well until season three when The Professor announced they would rob the Bank of Spain in order to rescue Rio (Miguel Herrán) and Lisbon was roped into helping out.

For much of season three she was seen alongside The Professor as they helped the robbers get into the bank.
They also helped to orchestrate Rio’s release from prison and reunite him with the gang.
However, in the final moments, when the police closed in on The Professor and Lisbon, she was captured.
Lisbon was quickly taken to the police tent outside of the bank in season four where she was interrogated by Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri).
Fans saw snippets of the interrogation before she was taken to court and eventually rescued by The Professor.
She went on to join the robbers in the bank when she dropped in from a helicopter which police believed was going to rescue Gandia (José Manuel Poga).
The group were last seen chanting Nairobi’s name as they insisted they would finish the heist in her honour.
However, in a recent interview, Alvaro hinted The Professor would end up alone when the series comes to an end.
Reddit user StudentDoctor 1908 wrote: “He initially did try to carry out a heist without any attachments, either between the band and with himself as well, but that didn’t go down too well, seeing as Nairobi wanted him to be the father of her child.
“So, I don’t think he can leave everything behind: the band who see this as their only family now and Raquel, whom he loves a lot.
“Unless something happens during season 5 and 6 that cause a major fallout such as Raquel betraying him or refusing to follow his plan I don’t think anything will change.”
Meanwhile another noted how Alvaor said the main driver for him was revenge and that could play a part in their separation.
They explained: “While I see the Professor being a vengeful person, I’d like to think he also has some more honourable reasons to do both heists (i.e. defeat a corrupted system, save someone who is part of his newly created family).
“I’d hate for Alicia to be right and prove that he’s actually “a clown with a mask” and not a good person deep down.
“The Professor being a noble nerdy guy is what made me like him in the first place. He’s no Walter White, and he doesn’t have to be. He’s great as he is.”
Could Lisbon betray The Professor from inside the heist and bring out a side of him yet to be seen by fans?
Money Heist seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix now.
