Miranda Hart set for TV return in her mum’s new ’innuendo-filled’ gardening show

Dee Hart Dyke, the comedian’s 77-year-old green-fingered mother, will be fronting a brand new programme for More4.

Down The Garden Path will see Dee visit celebrity homes in order to boost their lawns and borders.

Miranda, 44, who will be narrating the series, promised the three-parter would be filled with innuendos.

“I may not know a thing about how to garden but my mum is amazing,” Miranda told The Sun.

“She fills me with immense joy and laughter as she talks about her passion. The innuendos in gardening never seem to stop.”

After reports surfaced that Miranda would be co-hosting the show with her mother, the actress took to Twitter to clarify her role.

She tweeted: “Sorry but it’s my Mum fronting the new show. I narrate only and make a tiny cameo. She’s amazing though! Hope you like.”

It is thought if the show is successful, more episodes will be commissioned.

The mother and daughter duo previously paired up for a charity edition of Gogglebox, much to the delight of fans.

Miranda is about to star as Miss Hannigan in the world famous musical, Annie, which will begin in the West End at the end of the month.
