Meningitis B warning – teenage girl died after medics ‘underestimated’ her illness

MENINGITIS is an infection of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord, and can be serious when left untreated. Yesterday, a coroner ruled that a teenager died from the illness following a “gross failure” in her medical care.
