Melania Trump: Will First Lady join Donald in Paris after solo trip to Africa?

Melania Trump, 48, has just touched back down on US soil after a week-long tour around Africa.

During the short trip, Melania visited Egypt, Kenya, Malawi and Ghana, on a goodwill mission.

Now back in Washington, it is unconfirmed what is next on the First Lady’s agenda.

Her husband Donald is set to visit Paris next month, but will Melania be joining him?

Donald is scheduled to touch down in Paris on 11 November, accepting an invitation from Emmanuel Macron to attend an Armistice Day celebration.

The event will celebrate the Centenary of the end of the Great War, with other heads of state likely to attend.

It is unknown if Melania will join Donald, after completing her first solo tour without him by her side.

However, it is highly likely, as Melania and the Macrons are reported to get along well.

Melania has met with the French Presidential couple on many occasions, appearing to get along well with Brigitte Macron.

In an interview with Le Monde, Brigitte spoke warmly of Melania, revealing she was “actually really fun”.

Brigitte also said: “We have the same sense of humour. We laugh a lot together.”

While Melania is usually by her husband’s side on political visits, she bowed out of a few trips this year.

Due to health reasons, she didn’t accompany Donald to Canada or when he met with Kim Jong-un in Singapore.

However, she rejoined him when he visited Brussels for the 29th NATO summit and for his first Presidential visit to the UK.

Due to her good relationship with the Macrons it is likely Melania will join Donald on the trip.

She will have a couple of weeks to return to her normal duties, after her tour of Africa.

During the trip, the First Lady has hit the headlines for various reasons.

A big talking point on the trip was the outfits she chose to wear, opting for Daring colonial-inspired attire.

Her outfits stole the show before her admission, that she doesn’t always back her husband Donald Trump and his views, caused surprise around the world.
