Meghan Markle and Prince Harry engagement interview: Couple's body language revealed THIS

Judi said: “Meghan might have led this interview in many ways with her eloquence and ability to chat without any of the usual royal brides-to-be’s sense of pressure about saying or doing the right thing, but it was quietly Harry’s show.

“The Prince’s body language showed all the signs of pressure and anxiety that Meghan’s lacked.

“His blink rate speeded up, signalling tension and he bit his lower lip whenever he wasn’t speaking.”

So how did Harry’s engagement interview compare to his father’s Prince Charles’?

Judi said: “He looked charming and smitten but almost childlike at times and he told us he loved Meghan at every opportunity, possibly making up for his father’s ‘whatever love means’ faux pas at his own toe-curling engagement interview.

“At one point he almost lifted his right leg with one hand and folded it towards Meghan as though trying to wrap her up for keeps and when she referred to him as her ‘husband’ he literally shimmied with delight at the sound of the word.”

Judi explained a number of body language signs which showed Meghan took charge at their engagement shoot.

While many would expect to see Harry confidently leading his bride-to-be through the engagement photo-call, the couple’s body language suggested it was Meghan happily in charge of the choreography, according to Judi.

Here “reassurance signals to a rather nervous-but-besotted-looking Harry from start to finish” gave this away.

Judi said: “When the couple’s eyes met you could see the all the signs of pure happiness that we saw at the Invictus Games but at this outing it was Harry looking shy and rather anxious while Meghan clutched his hand in both of hers in an act of contagious confidence.

“Harry’s anxiety rituals have increased recently and he performed the rather odd jacket clasp and stomach-pat that we saw during his formal poses in Canada.”

As they walked off through the gardens though their body language apparently became more evenly-balanced again.
