The brave 14-year-old is still recovering from her injuries after she was caught up in last week’s horrific attack at an Ariana Grande concert which killed 22 people.
Ella told Eamonn and Charlotte that she is still in pain but is trying to keep a positive spirit.
She explained: “I am struggling to walk – that’s why I have to wear [a dressing on my leg]. I’ve got stitches.
“I have a lot of pain, especially in the morning when I wake up. And I’ve got bruises all over. But I like to do things that keep me feeling positive and keep me busy,” Ella added.
The teenager also revealed the harrowing moment the bomb exploded, leaving her with a temporary loss of hearing.
Ella continued: “I just panicked. It was really stressful to deal with. I tried to call my mum but I couldn’t hear her because my ears were ringing.”
A passer-by spotted Ella in distress and although she feared another bomb would explode, Jennifer Lee took the decision to help the teen.
As the pair were reunited on the Good Morning Britain sofa, Ella’s mother Louise described Jennifer as a true hero.
The mother explained: “I was extremely distressed at the time because I couldn’t get through to Ella. There was a complete lack of communication because she couldn’t hear me.
“To hear Jenny’s voice, to hear her saying, ‘I’m with your daughter, she’s fine and I’ve called her an ambulance’, there was instant relief,” Louise added.
