Manchester attack: Robbie Williams changes Strong song lyrics in tribute to victims

The former Take That star opened his Friday night show at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium with a rallying cry.

He told his fans: “We are Manchester and we are not f***ing scared!”

According to Manchester Evening News, as the concert went on Robbie changed the words to the chorus of Strong to support the city, with the lyrics appearing on a big screen so everyone could join in.

They sang: “Manchester we’re strong, we’re strong, we’re strong, we’re still singing our songs, our songs.”

When it came to a rendition of his hit song Angels, Robbie dedicated it the 22 victims who lost their lives in the suicide bombing on May 22, after exiting Ariana Grande’s show at Manchester Arena.

Robbie is also due to perform, with some fans hoping there will be something of a reunion.

Similar rumours are surrounding Oasis, which also originated in the Northern city, and are also due a big comeback together.

On a Take That reunion at One Love, a source told The Sun: “They are all great mates and love the chance to get together, so everyone agrees it would be a lovely thing to do for such an incredible cause. 

“Being local lads it’s obviously something they’re all very passionate about supporting.”
