An attacker has rammed the gates of the Honorary Russian Consulate in the Cypriot city of Limassol and then attempted to break into the building, TASS reports. The man was detained by the consulate’s security and handed over to the police, who so far are not treating the incident as a terrorist act. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the ramming, but the consulate’s property suffered damage. According to unconfirmed reports, the suspect was under medical supervision and may have had mental health issues.
