Latimer Road fire: Viewers HORRIFIED at scenes of elderly man TRAPPED inside building

The man is stuck on the 11th floor of a 27 story building that recently underwent a multi-million pounds refurbishment, when a devastating blaze took hold at around 01.00am. 

Viewers have taken to Twitter to express their upset at witnessing the man on live television. 

One said: “That poor person waving that white cloth at the window. The agony they must’ve been going through for all of those hours! #GMB.”

Another person found the scenes very distressing: “So unbearable to watch I can’t stop crying.”

“This is dreadful my heart goes out to all involved. Thoughts with the most amazing emergency services risking their lives to save others x,” one person shared.”

One person shared their distress that the building could be due to collapse: “Can’t they get the man out that you are showing?? So worried for him that the building will collapse.”
