The X-rated moment sees the actress and model, 31, peeling down to racy red underwear before an attention-grabbing CGI-assisted shot gets very intimate indeed.
Egerton’s character Eggsy is seen being tasked with placing a red tracker on Delevingne’s character – in a very, very intimate part of her body.
What follows is a scene set at Glastonbury where his finger is tracked down her body and then inside it.
It made Egerton so uncomfortable that Delevingne’s husband had to act as a ‘hand double’.
Egerton said in an interview with ScreenRant: “In this one, I’m in the shot and I said to Matthew [director] ‘I’m not comfortable doing this’.
“So it’s not my hand – it’s Poppy [Delevingne]’s husband’s hand. He saved the world.
“It’s what Matthew does, it’s his signature thing. He likes to do something that shocks.
“In Kick-Ass it was Chloe Grace Moretz saying the C-word, in Kingsman 1 it was the bum shot of the Swedish princess, and in this one it’s the thing.”
He added: “And, you know, it’s not to everyone’s tastes, but it certainly gets people talking.
“All it is is explicitly showing what Bond alludes to and says in a double entendre kind of way.”
For all its big talking points, however, the action-comedy has received slightly less favourable reviews than its predecessor.
It’s facing It at the box office this weekend.
