Kim Cattrall, 61, played Samantha Jones in hit TV show Sex and the City, reprising her role in the two spin-off films.

She recently refused to star in the third film, and has blasted her SATC co-stars, saying they “were never friends”.

Kim had a successful career before the show, starring in classic 80s movies such as Mannequin.

She was born in Liverpool, England, emigrating with her family to Vancouver Island, Canada, when she was three.

She returned to the UK at 11 to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, moving to New York aged 16 after winning a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

During the course of her career, Kim has won a a Golden Globe and been nominated for five Emmy Awards.

She has also had a successful stage career, treading the boards in London’s West End.

And she hasn’t just found fame as an actress – Kim also wrote a book about her sex life with her third husband, Mark Levinson, called “Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm”.
