Justice League: Superman’s role REVEALED after latest trailer? It’s NOT what fans expected

It’s one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood that Henry Cavill is reprising his role – even though Superman was killed off in Batman V Superman.

Many assumed that he would be resurrected – but now it appears that he’ll appear only in flashback, or in Lois Lane’s imagination.

The new Justice League trailer showed Lois (Amy Adams) struggling with her grief, and revisiting memories of her time with him.

He showed up on-screen in one particular dream or memory sequence – before Lois wakes up alone in bed.

So will he not perform the ultimate superhero feat and come back from the dead after all?

He doesn’t appear at all elsewhere in the trailer, once the likes of Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) join the fun.

It seems that we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out for sure.

Ben Affleck joked bout Cavill’s involvement last month – appearing to confirm rumours that his moustache, grown for a separate movie role, had to be erased in post-production.

“It was a full-on porn-star moustache,” Affleck joked to Empire.

“He looked like a porn star from the ’70s, just with a better body.”

He added: “It’s a different twist [on Superman].”

Justice League is out on November 17.
