James Martin unleashes EPIC rant at ITV crew live on Saturday Morning: ‘Totally useless!’

The Saturday Morning With James Martin host interrupted his latest recipe to rant at the crew live on the new ITV series.

The 45-year-old hit out after he was given a novelty peeler to use, complete with a potato caricature as the handle.

“You want to serve it with game chips or some form of crisp. What that is…” James had started.

However, the presenter soon became distracted by his equipment and it was those behind the scenes that got the blame.

“This is why I don’t do stuff like… look at this! This is what the crew give me to peel a potato with,” the chef then blasted.

James continued: “It’s totally useless! You get an old one – look? I know it looks amazing but look at it? It’s pointless!”

After lifting the fun peeler up to the camera to show those at home, the star quickly ditched it in favour of an old, plain version but there were clearly no hard feelings.

James was joined on the programme by culinary whizz Michael Caines as well as guests Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston.

Among the meals on offer was pheasant with celeriac, passion fruit and lemon curd pavlova and pan-roasted salted cod.

Saturday Morning With James Martin continues next weekend at 9.30am on ITV.
