James Bond: Pierce Brosnan pays heartfelt tribute to ‘magnificent’ Sir Roger Moore

The 64-year-old star played four times from 1995-2002, however his tenure was far surpassed by Sir Roger’s seven movies.

Now Pierce has paid tribute following news of Sir Roger’s death earlier today, with a message and photo of the two of them on the Goldeneye set in 1995.

On Facebook he wrote: “Dear Sir Roger Moore, It is indeed with a heavy heart that I hear the news of your passing this morning.

“You were a big part of my life, from The Saint to James Bond.

He added: “I know he was loved by his family and many others.”

No doubt tributes from Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig are sure to follow.
