Ivanka Trump, who is the daughter and assistant to US President Donald Trump, carried out some official duties today.
She met the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the World Assembly for Women (WAW!).
The website for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said: “This conference is one of the efforts to achieve ‘A Society where Women Shine’, continue to be one of the priority issues of Abe Administration.
“Having many leading figures from all over the world in the conference, we are expecting to have lively discussions on various women’s issues including women’s empowerment.
“WAW! is scheduled to be held as a platform for discussion about women-related issues.”
Women gathered at the event in Tokyo to listen to Ivanka’s address.
Ivanka spoke at the World Assembly for Women in the Japanese capital ahead of her father’s presidential visit.
