The airline has posted a statement on the website explain the strike to passengers.
easyJet wrote: “We’re working to minimise the impact of this strike, but like other airlines flying to and from Italy, we are expecting a number of cancellations and potential delays.
“Any customers on affected flights will be contacted via email and SMS.
“Although this situation is outside our control, we do understand that it can be a very frustrating situation for all customers travelling.”
If a flight is cancelled, they are advised to not travel to the airport but to “transfer their flights free of charge or take a refund”.
However, the airline warns that passengers are not able to claim for compensation as EU261 regulations do not include industrial action.
