I’m A Celebrity winner: Latest odds see ‘dark horse’ emerge as contender for the crown

After he took part in several terrifying Bushtucker Trials in the first week of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! BBC Radio 1 star Jordan North instantly became the favourite to win this year’s series. Jordan’s popularity hasn’t waned but one of his fellow campmates is slowly becoming an even bigger hit with viewers.

There are now just two female celebrities left in camp; Jessica Plummer and Giovanna Fletcher.

Bookies think they could be there for a little while longer as Giovanni has become the “dark horse” in the race to be crowned Queen of the Castle.

Giovanna looks set to steal the crown from Jordan as she has won the hearts of the nation after becoming the leader of camp.

Bookmakers Betfair have now priced her odds of winning the series to just 11/8 with Jordan trailing behind with odds of 6/4.

Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom said: “Jordan was the runaway favourite from the opening night of the show as he battled his demons and was singled out for nearly every trial.

“But since he’s taken more of a backseat, it has been the fearless and selfless Giovanna, the mother of the camp, who has won everyone’s hearts and become the 11/8 favourite.

“The betting suggests it will be a tight two horse race to crown a winner.

“As far as the next elimination tonight goes, that looks cut and dry with Russell 8/15 odds on favourite to be the first man eliminated from the show this series.”

On Monday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, Giovanna spoke about her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby and her meeting with Kate Middleton.

Speaking in the Telegraph, she dished: “What a complete career high.

“Just two mums nattering away but in true mum fashion and by the end, we were drinking cold tea.

“I would call her Kate Middleton before (the interview) but they all call her Katherine or The Duchess. So now, I’m kinda like ‘the Duchess, or Katherine.’”
