The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 2018 contestant line-up has just been confirmed by ITV after months of speculation. John Barrowman, Nick Knowles and Anne Hegerty are among the contestants heading into the jungle for the ITV show. Read on for our full guide to the I’m A Celebrity 2018 contestants.

Noel Edmonds

Noel Edmonds is rumoured to be one of this year’s secret camp mates, according to The Mirror.

The Deal or No Deal host, 69, is said to have been begged by ITV bosses to join the reality series.

Edmonds has been embroiled in controversy in recent years as well as a legal feud with a bank.

“ITV was desperate to get Noel – he’s a huge name to secure and everyone has high hopes he’ll pull in plenty of ratings,” an insider told the publication.

John Barrowman

John Barrowman is an actor best known for his roles on Doctor Who and Torchwood, and his variety show Tonight’s The Night.

The 51-year-old lists confined spaces and jumping out of planes has some of his phobias.

Barrowman was the secret contestant set to be entering.

Speaking about going in, he said: “My fans will freak out.”

He continued: “I think they will be surprised but I have known for quite a while and I am both excited and nervous now.

“I like a challenge, I like a competition and I might make some new friends out of it.

“To be blunt, it will also be nice to have some ‘me’ time! Nobody will be able to get in touch, text or email. I know it’s a game and I am not going in to be a misery.”

“I have no idea how it is going to be but what I would say is that this is probably the most challenging thing I have ever done. But I am up for it. Acting is easy!” she joked.

Fleur East

Fleur East was a runner-up on the 2014 season of The X Factor who then released the UK top three hit Sax.

East,31, was confirmed as an I’m A Celebrity 2018 contestant when she arrived in Australia on Monday.

Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp is a football manager who was leaked as a 2018 contestant by The Mirror a few weeks ago.

The 71-year-old will be one of the oldest contestants this year and has already said he’s never watched the series.

“It’s a challenge, it’s an adventure and it will give me something to talk about,” he explained about his decision to go in.

He added: “Everyone will ask me ‘what was it like?’ And I will tell them and the more I do, I will exaggerate – like I do most of my stories! My grandchildren are really excited.”

Anne “The Governess” Hegerty

Anne Hegerty is better known as The Governess, the boffin who leaves every contestant on The Chase quaking with fear.

She too was revealed to be taking part by The Mirror.

Hegerty will be the oldest female taking part in the show this year at 60 but she said that she was looking forward to taking part.

She said: “I do respond well to structure. I think it will be quite structured in there. I will understand ‘at this time I have to fetch wood and water’ – doing that will make sense.

“But being surrounded by people I can’t get away from or those who talk all the time can be a source of stress.”

The star said: “My character is so different to me. She is serious, stern and she can be uptight. I am the opposite!

“I am such a goof, I am always laughing, being cheeky and I don’t take myself too seriously.

“I guess people haven’t seen me and I want them to like me! If they don’t like her, that’s fine as it is a character but if they don’t like me, then that will be hard to take.”

“And my husband thinks I should get on and do it like I do with everything in life. But it’s going to be so weird not being able to talk to them.”

The actress added: “I have just done a year’s touring (with the Legally Blonde musical) but at least then I could chat or FaceTime whenever I wanted. I am going to miss them so much.”
