Gemma Collins is one of a host of names tipped to be signing up for the famous celebrity camp on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star Gemma Collins was previously on the show back in 2014 but it got too much for her and she departed after just three days.
Coronation Street favourite Jenny McAlpine, Red Dwarf star Craig Charles and even Labour politician Ed Balls could also be heading in – if the rumours are to be believed.
Here is everything we know so far about whether the 36-year-old reality favourite – known fondly as the GC – will be making a glittering comeback.
According to fresh reports, Gemma will not be heading back for a second stint on the ITV show as first thought.
An insider said: “Gemma isn’t returning to the jungle this year.
“She considered the opportunity but it isn’t what she’s looking for at the moment.”
The source added to The Sun that Gemma was hoping to have “some time to herself” before the Christmas period now that filming had wrapped on TOWIE.
Gemma was reportedly thought to be going Down Under again and previously expressed an interest at having a second crack at the show.
She was reportedly keen to “prove herself and set the record straight” and had 5/4 odds on to join the line-up according to Betfair.
The star – who previously took part on Celebrity Big Brother – seemed to drop a massive hint that she could be going back after she posted a shot of her suitcase and luggage bag on Instagram.
She cryptically captioned the shot: “Always on the move” and leaving fans to speculate about her intended destination with some suggesting the Australian outback.
Gemma left the show after 72 hours which at the time was thought to be down to the rustic conditions of living in the jungle camp with little food.
However, she recently revealed that she was attacked by her ex-boyfriend the night before the show started.
Gemma told ITV’s Loose Women: “I was severely beaten up by my partner the night before I went into the jungle. I’m lucky to be alive.”
She admitted that ITV also advised her not to go on the show, however she didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here will be airing on ITV on Sunday, November 19.
