Fans of the ITV series have bombarded Twitter speculating that Ant and the Extra Camp presenter are secretly fighting behind the scenes.
While the rumours have been firmly squashed, Joe teased that his job in the jungle may be over after almost a decade.
During last night’s instalment of the I’ m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! sister show, the programme opened with a comical skit.
After Scarlett Moffatt was temporarily replaced by a silent new host, she gasped: “No one’s job is safe in this jungle, is it?”
“Apart from me,” Joe proudly smirked. “I’ve been here nine years. I’m guaranteed another job.”
Before Joe could be too smug about his safety on the ITV show, he got what appeared to be an unpleasant message ringing through his ear-piece.
Joe and Ant’s beef was thrown into the spotlight last week as the latter took a swipe at the former EastEnders star.
Fans of the show were quick to pick up on the feisty comment, with one saying: “What is going on between Ant and Joe? Proper not happy with each other! #ImACeleb.”
“Ant’s reaction to Joe Swash talking about the ITV2 show. Bet this is his reaction every time he realises he has to work with Swash #ImACeleb,” added another.
A third posted: ”Joe Swash’s days are numbered on #ImACeleb especially when Ant adds to his contracts that he will only do next year if Joe is given his P45.”
