Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield launch This Morning's 'Be Kind' campaign

Now, the presenters have launched their Be Kind campaign in a bid to encourage those being bullied to speak to someone and educate youngsters on why it is so important to be nice to those around you.

Outlining the campaign on the website, they noted: “Across the country, today, there are children spending the day in fear. Too frightened to go to school. Too frightened to speak out. Too frightened to tell anyone.

“Across the country, today, children are being bullied.”

They have asked viewers to pledge to watch a video which features two mothers whose children took their own lives after being bullied.

Holly and Phillip want those tuning in to show the clip to their children and pledge to show them how they can ask for help and for them to know how important it is to be kind.

So far, over 20,000 people have made the pledge to watch the video and “be kind” to help reduce bullying.

Those tuning into today’s edition of the show were quick to take to Twitter to praise the presenters for launching their anti-bullying campaign.

One viewer shared: “Watching TM with tears in my eyes nobody should ever be bullied, its the most horrible thing ever! Be kind always #ThisMorning #BeKind.”

While another added: “I honestly wish a campaign like this existed when I was being bullied. All schools & pupils should watch the video #BeKind #ThisMorning.”

“The #ThisMorning #BeKind campaign is such a simple, easy and effective message. As a victim of bullying I want this campaign to spread!” a third wrote.

Someone else continued: “#ThisMorning’s Be Kind campaign is such a good idea. Disgusting how much bullying still goes on and the impact it can have #alwaysbekind.”

This Morning airs weekdays on at 10.30am.
