Last week viewers saw the doctor break down and blame her colleague Jasmine Burrows (played by Lucinda Dryzek) for the death of the patient who received her late daughter Elinor’s (Amy McCallum) organs.
Serena (Catherine Russell) told the young doctor that she wished she was in the morgue instead of the patient who had flatlined in front of them.
In this evening’s episode, Serena will continue to lash out at those around her and as her day continues to worsen, she heads to the roof of the hospital.
The consultant continues to give Jasmine a hard time and leaves the youngster with no option but to hand in her notice to Bernie Wolfe (Jemma Redgrave).
When she learns that Jasmine wants to leave the hospital, Serena begs her to stay but she loses her cool and quickly becomes violent.
She is stopped just in time by Jasmine’s half-sister Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) who encourages her to make a formal complaint – but will she go through with it?
Meanwhile, Bernie becomes increasingly concerned for Serena and tries to reach out to her but has no luck as Serena admits: “I am now officially an out of control monster. Truly, I don’t recognise myself in my anymore.”
Things take a sinister turn when Serena heads into the operating room with Jasmine and loses another patient.
Unable to cope any longer, she heads to the roof leaving Bernie terrified that she is about to end her life in order to stop her pain.
Will the team reach her in time to stop her from making a life-changing decision?
