The semi-final round of the Channel 4 competition was certainly tense for the remaining contestants and even co-presenter Sandi, 59, was feeling the heat.
During the signature round, the 59-year-old became very frustrated with Stacey as she failed to follow instructions.
Despite announcing that time was up, the baker kept working on her choux buns.
Sandi became annoyed at being ignored and shouted: “Stacey!”
Placing her buns on a display platter, Stacey replied: “I’m trying to put them on.”
However, Sandi wasn’t happy with her response and exclaimed: “Stacey! Please place your signature choux buns at the end of the station!”
Stacey finally gave up but those watching at home were not happy she broke the rules and ignored the co-host.
One person wrote: “Stacey not only breaks her oven but also thinks she doesn’t need to listen to Sandi when she says times up! #GBBO.”
Another said: “Gosh, Sandi Toksvig really lost it with Stacey. Shocking. #gbbo.”
A third added: “Sandi shouting STACEY, was everyone #gbbo.”
Despite her extra time at perfecting the patisserie, Stacey was axed from the competition after failing to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
The Great British Bake Off series final will air at 8pm next Tuesday on Channel 4.
