Google Maps Street View: VERY creepy figures spotted in a window – who are they?

Google Maps Street View has snapped an unnerving sight on a deserted Chicago street.

The street itself seems perfectly normal. Houses stand spaced apart and cars are parked on the street, just like any other American road.

However, one house in particular stands out from the rest due to the chilling sight in one of its windows.

In the first floor window, three sinister black figures seem to be pressed up against the pane.

The largest one has both arms on the window, fingers fully splayed against the glass.

Two smaller figures can be made out, also holding their hands up against the window pane.

They almost look like they’re trying to escape – but no other signs of life can be seen in the house – or indeed anywhere on the street.

Are these panicked people, nightmarish demons… or is there another explanation for the creepy trio?

Although no rational explanation is provided by the image, the date the photo was taken gives some clue as to what’s really going on.

The photograph was taken in October – the month of Halloween. To further support this, down the road a section of pumpkins can be seen.

Pumpkins are traditional for Halloween, proving the Chicago street must be celebrating the 31 October festival.

Therefore it seems most likely that the foreboding figures are in fact Halloween decorations, hung up by the house’s owners to frighten passersby.

It’s not the first time a sinister sight has been spotted on a seemingly-normal street.

Google Maps Street View has photographed a road – believed to be in Europe – that seems far from ordinary.

The eerie image shows a row of houses, many of which have wrought-iron balconies, with multiple cars parked outside.

While this may seem ordinary enough, a strange phenomenon appears to be occurring on the pavement and on the walls.

A bizarre purple substance seems to be staining the stone. It creeps up the exterior of the houses as though invading the properties.

In some places it morphs into a sickly yellow colour and is rather like something out of a horror film.

No people can be seen in the shot which lends an even more haunted feel to the chilling sight.

However, while the image might seem unnerving at first glance, it’s much or likely that there is a rational explanation behind it.

The unusual effect is most probably due to a technological glitch with Google Maps Street View.
