Google Maps Street View: Embarrassing accident for this young man in Scotland

Google Maps Street View, created in 2007, has offered the world some rather hilarious sights.

Its main function is to plan directions or to look at a particular address using the vast mapping across the globe.

Other people use it to spot funny situations, most often by locals, who are caught in the crossfire.

Rude gestures and staged fights are some of the most common positions people are seen by Google Maps.

Other people are caught in a much more awkward situation.

Spotted in Aberdeen is a young man on the long Esplanade that runs down Aberdeen Bay.

He is wearing jumping stilts, which resemble smaller pogo sticks that people run and perform tricks on.

He is also wearing gloves and a helmet, taking his safety seriously.

The man’s skills, however, appear to be lacking.

He has fallen flat on his back and is lying on the footpath.

He has his arms above his head and is looking up into the air.

It is unclear if he had a nasty fall or is playing up to the cameras, but his splayed legs suggest the former.

The images have since been removed by Google, having updated the road since it was taken in 2008.

The story behind the man’s accident will most likely never be revealed.

It isn’t the only embarrassing situation to have been caught on the Google Maps Street View camera.

Another young man decided to stare at an attractive young woman, oblivious to the cameras.

The young woman in question was spotted leaving a department store in Miami.

Wearing a strappy vest and mini skirt, she appears to have caught the lad’s attention.

He bends down to stare at her with his eyes eye level with her legs.

She is engrossed in her phone and has her back to him, blissfully unaware.
